Vegas Vic was created in 1947 when the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce hired a marketing firm to draw visitors to Las Vegas. The company then created Vegas Vic and his friendly "Howdy Podner" greeting. Now Vic is synonymous with vintage Vegas!
